-Monday night, while sleeping Ashleys water broke, we rushed to the hospital in the middle of the night. She was only 31 weeks pregnant and the doctors were very worried that if the baby came she would not be able to breathe on her own. They decided to try and give medicine to stop the contractions and keep Ashley hospitalized for at least 2 weeks to give the baby a better chance.
-After the first night in the hospital, it was clear that they would not be able to stop the contractions and that our baby was going to be born soon. The doctors wanted to do a C-section but before they had a chance to write a prescription for the needed material and send me to find it from a pharmacy, Ashley was in hard labor and Eden Grace Brown was born on Wednesday night around 8:30 PM. We were told that she would weigh less than 3 pounds but to our surprise and the surprise of the doctors, she weighs 4.2 pounds and was able to breathe on her own. She didn’t even need to stay in an incubator we took her home the next day.
God is soo good! Thank you to all who have been praying for the health of both Ashley and baby. Our family has grown by one and Parker is very excited about his new sister. Please continue to pray for Eden in the weeks to come.
